PICTURE THIS. You get to work ready and excited for a productive day. Everything had seemed to be lining up perfectly earlier in the morning. You awoke refreshed from a good night’s sleep, ate a healthy breakfast, got some exercise and enjoyed green lights all the way to work. You even arrive a few minutes early! As you walk into your workspace, you are confident and ready to accomplish great things. So you get started. Two hours later you glance at the clock and nearly fall out of your chair. “Where did all the time go?”, you ask yourself. Overwhelmed, you realize you haven’t even started on the major project due later in the week. Your momentum from earlier that morning is lost and you spend the rest of the day trying to catch up.
Sad story. Unfortunately, if you are like me, you relate.
How we spend the first 10-15 minutes of our day can play a huge role in our effectiveness and productivity. A few small tweaks in our morning routines can be just enough to help us build great momentum for the day, stay focused and give us the results we envision. I ran across this infographic a while back and really appreciated these few reminders.
